A pub in a small town having been around since 1368. Tony & Kim make you feel right at home. The beer and spirits also help to make it a warm atmosphere. A traditional British pub that has stood the test of time so come in and enjoy a pint or two.

Beautiful pub, with good food and a very welcoming landlord & staff.
Visited early on a Saturday evening, as a group of 9 family members. There was something for everyone on the menu, and not one person had anything negative to say about their meals. The portion sizes were generous, and left us completely full!
We're already planning a return visit.
Kid-friendliness: Kids were made to feel very welcome, and there are lots of 'Lite Bite' options on the menu.

Stopped in for a few pints with friends. Tony is such a lovely bloke, gave us a small tour and history of the place. The lines were perfect, too. Top spot.

Lovely old village pub in Detling, near Maidstone. Friendly, welcoming bar staff. Good selection of beers, wine and spirits. Very good menu at very reasonable prices. I had chicken pie which was delicious and my wife had fish and chips. The fish was battered fresh haddock and was so big that she could eat many of the chips.
If you get the opportunity please go there, you will not be disappointed.

We went last night with our two dogs and had a wonderful time. I was very impressed with the Flint Eye lager. Our food was great and we didn’t have to wait long. The young lady who served us was brilliant. We will be going back.

Lovely old architecture. Friendly staff & delicious homemade food. Desserts looked scrumptious but diet forbid! Highly recommended. Easy parking & nice garden area.

What an amazing place! We came here on a Friday night which was pretty busy. The waitress was on her own but nevertheless was exceedingly friendly and got us our food and drinks swiftly. She managed to find time to take a picture of us and would not take a tip because a service charge was already included on the bill. The food was very good and the ale was tasty. Highly recommended!

I admit I had one of the most exciting dishes I’ve had in ages at The Cock Horse Inn. The mushroom and feta filo pastry parcel was sweet and sumptuous.
The pub has plenty of historic character. It’s another local’s pub catering for the drinking class with a restaurant area out back.
It, along with the Kings Arms down the road just needs to look over its neighbour’s shoulders in Ightham. It’s heading in the right direction, but needs to up the level of service, food quality and choice to be a must visit pub food venue in Kent.
